We have an exciting opportunity at The Historic Dockyard Chatham, the world’s most complete dockyard from the age of sail, for a Cook Manager to join our visitor catering team.

Our food offer is fresh, cooked from scratch and beautifully presented.  Excellent culinary skills are therefore required, along with a passion for giving our visitors the best possible dining experience.  You will be working with a team of dedicated and experienced staff and you will report to the Retail, Catering and Front of House Manager.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be an absolute foodie with a chef background – this is a very hands-on role and you will be required to prepare, cook and plate up delicious food
  • Be able to provide exceptional standards in all aspects of food service; attention to detail is vital
  • Be able to demonstrate a proven track record in a high volume, quality, catering establishment
  • Have excellent communication skills and a cheerful character
  • Be an innovative person with a positive out going disposition and a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Have a proven track record of continually improving standards and achieving targets
  • Be required to maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, discipline and full compliance with current legislative requirements
