The Historic Dockyard Chatham (CHDT) is seeking enthusiastic and energetic communicators to become part of a highly successful and experienced team responsible for delivering fantastic learning experiences to students, youth groups and families visiting one of Kent’s largest historic attractions.
Previous classroom experience or regular work with young people in an educational setting is essential as the role involves some or all of the following duties depending on the skills, qualities and availability of the applicant:
The successful applicant would be joining a team of people that collectively delivers these four key duties and would be required to regularly fulfil at least two out of four of these duties.
The roles require an organised person who is willing and able to lead youth and adult groups around various parts of the visitor attraction. They should be able to work under pressure, cope with the unexpected and adapt to changing situations working within CHDT’s policies and procedures, particularly the Safeguarding and Health & Safety policies.
The closing date for applications is Friday June 1st, 2017. Interviews will take place in the week commencing Monday June 4th, 2017.
Learning Assistants are paid on an hourly rate and employed on a casual ‘as required’ basis.
