Discover the hidden gem that is The Commissioner’s House.  For one weekend, book a tour and explore one of Britain’s oldest surviving Navy Board buildings that boasts an impressive painting ceiling, or walk in the garden in the footsteps of Samuel Pepys and see the Mulberry Tree where Oliver Cromwell once sat under.

Each tour lasts 90 minutes with a costumed guide taking you around to see the beautiful site.

Additional information:

This tour has a maximum of 12 people per day – so spaces are limited!

Please report to the main visitor entrance at The Historic Dockyard Chatham 15 minutes before the tour is due to start. Visitors will then be met and taken to Commissioners House

Please note...

  • There is no wheelchair access except on the ground floor to The Commissioner’s House and there are steps leading in to the house and stairs to gain access to the upper level.
  • The garden has shingle paths which is also difficult for wheelchair users.
  • Tickets do NOT include access to any of the galleries and attractions.
