Michael Foreman Talk and Private Viewing of the Michael Foreman Exhibition

9 Nov 2017 - 9 Nov 2017

The award winning British author and illustrator Michael Foreman will be providing an insight into well-known books. Starting with his first book ‘The General’ and covering all the books featured in the exhibition plus other key titles during my career.  The talk will also cover Michael Foreman’s travels around the world and how they inspired his work.  It will also cover collaborations with other writers (particularly, Michael Morpurgo, who has become a true friend of Michael Foreman).   Referring to books such as ‘A Life in Pictures’ (published by Pavilion) and ‘Travels with My Sketchbook’ (published by Templar).

The man who is described as ‘one of the best-known and most prolific creators of children’s books’ has also very kindly offered a rare opportunity of a question and answer session after the talk.

Time: Doors open at 18:00 for talk to start at 18:30.
Where: Mess Deck

Please email acurson@chdt.org.uk to book tickets.
