Particular Responses – Art Journals at The Dockyard
18 Mar - 01 Apr 2025

presented by Medway River Lit and The Hazelnut Press
Experience an exhibition of word-inspired artwork as part of the Medway River Lit Rippling Out project, featuring handcrafted art journals uniquely inspired by the sounds, scenes, and stories of the Dockyard.
The showcased sketchbooks are crafted using a variety of mixed media techniques, highlighting the creativity and talent of the artists involved. On display are both original pieces and reproductions, all crafted during two engaging workshops for Medway River Lit in 2023 and 2024. As part of the latest Medway River Lit, participants were inspired by hidden words, letters, and symbols discovered around the Dockyard during a Dockyard Mateys tour led by former Dockyard workers.
Join us to celebrate the fusion of art and literature in this fascinating exhibition.
