Audio Described Tour: Brickwrecks

19 Mar 2025

Dive into our latest, internationally acclaimed, temporary exhibition Brickwrecks: Sunken Ships in LEGO® Bricks with a specially tailored audio described tour for blind and visually impaired audiences and their families.

Created in partnership with the Australian National Maritime Museum and the Western Australian Museum, this exhibition invites visitors of all ages to explore the tales of iconic shipwrecks, brought to life through intricate, large-scale LEGO® models designed by Certified Professional Ryan “The Brickman” McNaught.

There will be a series of interactive elements and multimedia exhibits that delve into the science of maritime archaeology, shipwreck exploration, and their environmental impact. You will also have the chance to build your own LEGO® creations inspired by the shipwrecks on display.

This audio described tour is delivered by a member of our staff and facilitated by local artist Wendy Daws of the MESS ROOM, a community arts studio based at Sun Pier House, Chatham, who works in partnership with Kent Association for the Blind.

Thanks to funding from Arts Council England, we are able to offer this tour on a complimentary basis.
