10 Oct 2025

Join us for a specially tailored tour for blind and visually impaired audiences and their families. Explore our Command of the Oceans galleries, which reveal the full Dockyard story, thrilling archaeology and long-hidden objects brought to light for the first time. These galleries share powerful stories of innovation and craftsmanship, showing how Chatham Dockyard and its people helped lead Britain to worldwide influence. A variety of tactile, interactive elements will also be available for you to experience.
This audio described tour is delivered by a member of our staff and facilitated by local artist Wendy Daws of the MESS ROOM, a community arts studio based at Sun Pier House, Chatham, who works in partnership with Kent Association for the Blind.
