At the Dockyard Dementia Café, join us for tea, cake, singalongs and a friendly chat, 1pm – 3pm.
Our monthly Dementia Café is a comfortable, social gathering that allows people experiencing memory loss and a loved one or a carer to connect, socialise, and build new support networks. The Café is free to attend (you do not need a ticket for the Historic Dockyard) and all are welcome.
We’ll provide tea, coffee, cold drinks and cake and our friendly staff will lead groups singing sessions as well as the opportunity to learn more and handle objects from our collections. On occasions we’ll also have guest speakers talk about stories connected to the Historic Dockyard.
How to find us
The Dockyard Dementia Café takes place towards the back of main visitor restaurant at The Historic Dockyard Chatham. Our staff will be on hand to guide you if you have not visited before and there will be ample signage in place.
