Dockyard Dementia Café
The second Monday of every month

Join us for tea, cake, singalongs and a friendly chat at our monthly Dementia Café.
Our Dementia Café is a comfortable, social gathering that allows people experiencing memory loss and a loved one or a carer to connect, socialise, and build new support networks. The Café is free to attend (you do not need a ticket for the Historic Dockyard) and all are welcome.
We’ll provide tea, coffee, cold drinks and cake and our friendly staff will lead groups singing sessions as well as the opportunity to learn more and handle objects from our collections. On occasions we’ll also have guest speakers talk about stories connected to the Historic Dockyard.
DETAILS
Location: In the Mess Deck Restaurant.
Timings: 1pm to 3pm on the second Monday of every month. See a list of this year’s dates below.
Who can attend? Anyone who is experiencing memory loss and a loved one or a carer. Everyone is welcome but we need to be mindful of our capacity. Our Dementia Café is predominately aimed at individuals and their carers. If you are from a Care Home and are interested in attending, please could you contact us in advance via lgodrey@chdt.org.uk
Cost: Free. The Mess Deck Restaurant is before the ticket barriers, so no Dockyard ticket is required.
