Join former Dockyard Apprentices and Mateys as they take you on a journey around the Dockyard – as seen through their eyes.
This relaxed, volunteer-led walking tour with two former Dockyard Mateys, David Lawrence and John Masters is a chance to really get under the skin of the Dockyard. The duo started their apprenticeships here in 1960 and 1970 respectively and worked at the dockyard until the 1980s. They now generously volunteer their time to help look after our historic site and share their unique stories.
With decades of experience, David and John bring the Dockyard’s history to life in a way only they can.
The walking tour will take approximately 90 minutes.
These tours run on the last Wednesday of the month (April to October).
