As part of our Monsters of the Deep inspired programming, join us for an evening screening of the first Japanese production of Godzilla (1954), co-written and directed by Ishirō Honda. Originally thought to be an ancient sea monster, Godzilla appears as a dinosaur-like creature, as a result of underwater nuclear testing, to terrorize the villagers of Odo Island…

This event is part of Electric Medway Festival 2023 in association with Rochester Kino Cinema Club.

There will be an introduction and post-film discussion, both hosted by Rochester Kino Cinema Club.

You are welcome to arrive from 6:30pm as the Mess Deck will be open for drinks and light snacks.

The introduction will start at 7pm and last 5-10 minutes. The running time of the film is 1 hour 38 minutes.

The post-film discussion will last around 15-20 minutes.

Please note this is a separately ticketed event and not included in an annual ticket to the Historic Dockyard.
