In conversation with … Ian Smith, RNLI Gravesend Lifeboat Station Manager

In the second of our new series of “In conversation with …” evening talks, join Ian Smith from the RNLI for an evening delving into the captivating history of Gravesend lifeboat station, the boats the crews use and the array of rescue’s undertaken, with some personal recollections of memorable jobs.
Ian is the Gravesend Lifeboat Station manager and lifeboat crew member, as well as being the RNLI historic lifeboat collection manager here at the Historic Dockyard.
The evening will be compered by Nick Ball, Collections, Galleries and Interpretation Manager at the Historic Dockyard, and there will be a question and answer session following Ian’s presentation.
Our talks are free to attend (you do not need a Dockyard admission ticket) but spaces are limited. Tickets must be booked in advance.
