In Conversation With…Richard Holdsworth: 40 Years of Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust

07 Mar 2024

In the first of our new series of “In conversation with …” evening talks, join Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust’s (CHDT) longest serving Curator, Richard Holdsworth MBE, for an interesting insight into the early years of The Historic Dockyard Chatham.

Over his 36-year career with CHDT, Richard steered the Dockyard through periods of great change and has been instrumental in forming key partnerships and capital projects such as No.1 Smithery and Command of the Oceans.

Richard retired in June 2021 but retains close links with CHDT as Curator Emeritus.

The evening will be compered by Paul Barnard, Deputy Chief Executive, and there will be a question and answer session following Richard’s presentation.

Our talks are free to attend (you do not need a Dockyard admission ticket) but spaces are limited. Tickets must be booked in advance.
