Magicial Maritime Mysteries (mini)

03 Jul - 11 Sep 2023

Free

As part of Medway Open Studios we are delighted to host an exhibition of artworks by members of the Medway community in response to the Monsters of the Deep exhibition.

Artists from the Kent Association for the Blind Art Groups, Peer Arts and Deaf Peer Arts are delighted to share their magical, maritime mysteries that compliment their larger scale installation located in the No.1 Smithery Forge. The exhibition includes Nessy, a Kraken dragging a galleon to the murky depths, the legendary Leviathan, Mermaids, a Lion’s Mane Jellyfish, Nemo, Jaws and a whole lot more.

MESS ROOM CIC is an inclusive arts studio based in Sun Pier House, Chatham, for people to express themselves creatively, using a combination of inclusive activities and communication methods, including British Sign Language (BSL) and tactile materials.

Thank you to all the artists and Kent Association for the Blind Volunteers for making this happen.
