MidKent College: Shipwrecks
Dive into this community exhibition, inspired by Chatham-based shipwrecks.
Experience the amazing mixed media artwork created by Further Education Art & Design students from MidKent College.
Inspired by our very own shipwrecks INVINCIBLE AND NAMUR, alongside EREBUS, TERROR and PANDORA, Chatham-related ships that feature in our current temporary exhibition Brickwrecks: Sunken Ships in Lego Bricks.
Our Public Engagement Officer has been working with staff from MidKent College to commission student-led creative responses inspired by these shipwrecks.
During their recent work experience week, the students took inspiration directly from our collections, site and stories, through drawing and photography, to inform the shipwreck-inspired artwork showcased in this exhibition.
