Summer Relaxed Opening

Join us for a relaxed afternoon at the Historic Dockyard. This session has been designed for visitors with autism, learning disabilities or sensory and communication needs, along with their siblings, families and carers.
You will have access to the whole museum between 3pm and 5pm and have the opportunity to take part in:
- Octonauts Deep Sea Adventure
- Accessible Octonauts themed crafts
- Doc Yard Science Show (please see sensory warning below)
- Doc Yard Science Activities
The afternoon will have fewer visitors across the Dockyard and a quieter atmosphere.
This afternoon is perfect for anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed environment.
The session is free to attend but spaces are limited and must be booked in advance.
Please be aware the Doc Yard Science Show is 30 minutes long and involves loud noises. There is a water pistol squirted into the crowd at the end of the show. The Doc Yard Science Activities involve sand and water.
