As the leader of this trip, we all thought that it was a wonderful experience for the children. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful and this helped to create a very memorable experience for everyone. Please pass on our thanks to all of those involved and I'm sure that Bronte School will be booking further trips in the future.
Firstly I need to say a huge thank you to you and all the people at Chatham Historic Dockyard who worked so hard to give us a happy and memorable experience. I cannot remember all the names but please thank Tracie for looking after us so well in the evening, Lieutenant Commander Mark for a memorable and hugely enjoyable tour of the Cavalier (watching my Cubs trying to salute like the Royal Navy will amuse me for a long time to come), the two gentlemen who gave us our Ocelot tours and shared their awesome knowledge with us, the lovely lady who watched over us overnight (whose name I knew and now can't remember), the very much in character lady who showed us the ropery and who had the Cubs following her like puppies, the helpful and patient shop assistants who assisted us and a special thank you to the restaurant staff who not only produced lovely food (one Cub was overheard giving his dinner 10 out of 10) but coped with an unexpected couple of changes with a cheerful smile and the best possible results. I hope I haven't missed anyone off the list.
Enhance your stay
Built in 1944, HMS Cavalier served in the Arctic, Western Approaches and British Pacific Fleet before finally paying off at Chatham in 1972.
