No.1 Smithery
Join us in the expansive No.1 Smithery. Built in 1801 to help meet the Dockyard’s growing need for ironwork, the building is now a showstopping venue offering modern museum galleries, temporary exhibitions and flexible event spaces.

HMS GANNET
Built on the River Medway at Sheerness in 1878, our Victorian sloop now provides the perfect setting for an unforgettable event. Step aboard for an elegant drinks reception underneath the rigging on the main deck, or head down into the captain’s cabin for an elegant private dining experience.

The Royal Dockyard Church
The Royal Dockyard Church is a purpose built theatre space, seating up to 200 guests in tiered seating. Including a stage and state-of-the-art presentation equipment, modern facilities blend with original architectural details to provide an iconic stage for your conference or presentation.

Covered Slips
Host your next awards evening or exhibition under the historic timbers of our covered slips. As some of The Dockyard’s most distinctive architectural settings, the oldest of the surviving slips, 3 Slip, and 5 Slip now offer incredible large events locations. 3 Slip is a standout event space, ideally suited to exhibitions that inspire and impressive awards shows.

The Fitted Rigging House
Perfect for small meetings or training sessions, The Fitted Rigging House comprises of two adjacent meeting rooms, which can be hired individually or together if a breakout space is required. Kitted out with the latest technology, you can present easily with our moveable screens and even connect with those joining your meeting virtually using our video conferencing kit.

Museum Square
Do you have an event with a need for a large outside area? Our site covers over 80 acres and has a range of outside spaces to offer for your next big event, including our gardens and central shingle area, known as ‘Museum Square’. Ideal for outdoor events, car clubs and bike clubs, Museum Square offers an ideal central location within The Historic Dockyard.
