Gold Award – Medway Healthy Workplace
We have been officially awarded Gold Level in the Medway Healthy Workplace Award. This achievement reflects our commitment to creating a workplace that prioritises health, wellbeing, and sustainability.
The Medway Healthy Workplace Programme is a local initiative that recognises businesses for promoting healthier lifestyles, supporting mental wellbeing, and fostering safe, inclusive environments for staff.
This success was made possible thanks to the pledges we implemented across key areas such as mental wellbeing, healthy eating, physical activity, sustainability, and carer-friendly policies. From continuing to be a Dementia Friendly organisation, introducing financial wellbeing sessions, to our Positive Work Environment policies and reducing single-use plastics, these actions demonstrate our dedication to supporting our team.
Some of the key pledges that helped us achieve Gold include:
- Dementia Awareness training and creating a Dementia-Friendly setting
- Financial wellbeing sessions and promoting money advice resources
- Introducing a Carers’ Policy
- Providing Occupational Health support and flexible adjustments for staff wellbeing
- Safe spaces for breastfeeding mothers returning to work
- Actively recycling waste, food segregation and reducing single-use plastics across site
- Supporting local food producers and working with low-carbon initiatives
We will keep building on these foundations to ensure our workplace remains a healthy, supportive environment for all.
