It’s World Book Day!

It’s World Book Day!

A celebration of all thing’s books, authors and illustrators – what’s your favourite book?

We’re getting ready for our next temporary exhibition that will be running from 25th May – 9th September – and this one is all about Pirates!

A Pirate’s Life for Me focuses on fictional pirates and their influence in popular culture – including books!

Do you remember Captain Pugwash? – the first painting of Captain Pugwash (painted by John Ryan, 1950) will be available to see as well as classic comics and more.

We asked around at The Dockyard what everyone’s favourite Pirate related book is. See how many you recognise…
