Nancy Corrigan’s Wedding Dress to Feature in 2026 Call The Midwife Official Location Tour

Call The Midwife Gallery

Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust is delighted to announce the return of its popular Call The Midwife Official Location Tour at The Historic Dockyard Chatham from March 2026, where Nancy Corrigan’s wedding dress will feature as a new costume highlight.

Worn in the Series 14 finale, Nancy’s vibrant orange ‘modern retro’ gown reflects both the changing fashions of the early 1970s and her independent spirit. Designed by the show’s Costume Designer Justine Luxton, the bespoke ensemble offers a fashion-forward alternative to traditional bridalwear. Now for the first time, fans will be able to see the costume up close. Complete with matching coat and hat, the look captures a significant moment in Nancy’s story while remaining true to the character’s understated style.

Also joining the exclusive exhibition for 2026 is Colette Corrigan’s bridesmaid dress, designed to complement her mother’s gown. With its rich autumnal tones and period-authentic silhouette, the costume reflects the evolving style of the decade and the poignant mother-daughter moment at the heart of the episode.

Costumes worn by beloved characters Fred and Violet Buckle will complete the new display. Violet’s navy pinafore with vibrant floral blouse reflects her confident style as a local councillor, while Fred’s mustard cardigan and checked shirt embody his trademark, salt-of-the-earth charm.

The latest series of Call The Midwife concludes next month, with all episodes available to watch on BBC iPlayer in the UK. A feature film and a prequel series have also been announced, ensuring that the world of Nonnatus House will continue to grow and captivate audiences in the years ahead.

Created in collaboration with Neal Street Productions, the Call The Midwife Official Location Tour at The Historic Dockyard Chatham offers fans an exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpse into the making of the award-winning drama. Visitors can explore authentic filming locations, view original sets, costumes and props, and discover fascinating insights into how the series is brought to life on screen.

Guests can literally walk in the footsteps of Sister Julienne, Nurse Trixie Franklin, Chummy and Dr Turner as they explore the cobbled streets and historic buildings of The Historic Dockyard Chatham. Highlights include recognisable locations such as the Grosvenor Hotel and Chummy’s Hill, offering an immersive experience unlike any other.

Tours and gift vouchers for the 2026 tours are available to book online. For further information and to secure your place, visit thedockyard.co.uk/midwife
