New Dockyard Beer Launches

A new beer has just been launched to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust.

Brewed by Powder Monkey Brewing Co. in a Naval gunpowder store, Monkey’s Fist has been created especially for The Historic Dockyard Chatham.

Chatham’s Master Ropemakers maintain a process of ropemaking that dates back over 400 years. A Monkey’s Fist is a popular knot for making weights and decorative items.

Tasting Notes

This session IPA has a bright citrus aroma with notes of sweet fruits and a subtle cedar character.

Pouring with an amber colour the body is full of caramel flavour balanced perfectly with a refreshing bitterness. The fragrant hop aroma together with malt sweetness make this beer an ideal match for fish and chips.

Monkey’s Fist beer can be enjoyed exclusively in The Mess Deck restaurant at The Historic Dockyard Chatham.
