OPEN CALL: NEW DIGITAL ARTWORK COMMISSION

OPEN CALL: NEW DIGITAL ARTWORK COMMISSION

KENT & MEDWAY MUSEUM NPO PARTNERSHIP

In 2018, the Historic Dockyard Chatham formed the Kent & Medway Museum NPO Partnership with Canterbury Museums & Galleries, Guildhall Museum Rochester and Tunbridge Wells Museum & Gallery.

Funded by Arts Council England, our NPO partnership work together to deliver excellence in the use of collections to inspire learning, creativity and wellbeing to existing and new audiences in their communities.

One of our most ambitious projects is the commission for the creation of a new digital artwork.

Leading on this project is Tunbridge Wells Museum & Art Gallery seeking to commission a new digital artwork which will feature as a permanent artefact within their collections.

The commission is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic artist to respond to the NPO partners’ museums and their contents as well as address broader themes of collecting and exhibiting physical and digital artworks within a museum context.

For more information, please download the NPO New Digital Artwork Commission Brief (PDF 597.9 KB)

There is a project budget of £15,000 (inclusive of VAT) to cover fee, production and display.

The deadline for submissions is 5pm Thursday 7 February 2019.

If you have any questions about the proposal or would or to arrange a site visit please contact Luke Currall, the  Tunbridge Wells Museum & Galleries NPO Cultural Project Manager at
