RNLI Challenge

Have you heard of the RNLI – 911 Challenge?
Yesterday we were greeted with a Porsche that a couple (Belinda and James) are touring England and other countries in to visit all of the RNLI stations!
By doing so, they are raising money towards a new ‘D’ class lifeboat and raising awareness for the RNLI.

The RNLI is a unique national lifeboat rescue charity, founded on 4th March 1824. It is operated and crewed by local volunteers 24 hours a day 365 days of the year.
RNLI rescues 1,000’s and saves 100’s of lives at sea every year!
This year they are touring Scotland (including Shetland. Orkney & the Western Isles) Visiting ALL 77 RNLI Lifeboat Stations (past & present) travelling over 2,800 miles within 19 days!
They paid a visit to us first to see the biggest collection of RNLI lifeboats that we have here to see where old lifeboats come to stay and keep their stories alive!

You’ll also find the full itinerary for the challenge…Good luck Belinda and James!
