RNLI Prizegiving
We were delighted to be a part of seeing David and Pam Wilson receive their certificates from the RNLI for 37 years of service to the Gillingham Branch, presented by the Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust’s Chairman – Sir Trevor Soar.
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is the largest charity that saves lives at sea around the coasts of the UK, the Republic of Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. We are delighted that we have the UK’s largest collection of historic lifeboats in the RNLI collection on site for everyone to see when here and learn their history and what they do today. From an 1897 pulling and sailing lifeboat, to the familiar Arun class and Blue Peter inflatable inshore vessels, visitors can explore how lifeboats have changed over the last century through interactive displays, archive film and audio clips.
