Leaving a gift in a will
Imagine leaving a gift that could truly last for generations, a gift that means your generosity can allow others to enjoy Chatham’s World Class Heritage for future generations – just like you do now.
Leave a legacy
Legacy gifts whether large or small support our charitable purpose. At The Historic Dockyard Chatham, we’ve been dedicated to safeguarding the Dockyard’s heritage and legacy for more than 40 years, so you can be sure that every penny you choose to leave in our care will be invested in preserving the Dockyard for generations to come.
If you are interested in leaving a gift in your will, or would like more information, please contact us:
GIFTS TO CONSIDER
A residuary gift is share of what’s left over once all your wishes have been settled. You could choose to leave a percentage of the residue of your estate to Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust, which would make a huge difference to our preservation and education work.
A pecuniary gift is a specific sum of money, for example £1,000. It is advised you protect the value of your gift against inflation by asking your solicitor to ensure that it is index-linked.
Gift an Object
Objects and physical items can be gifted to charitable organisations in your will.
If you are thinking of donating an object to Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust, please contact our Development Manager at email@example.com
Let us know your intentions
Please do get in touch if you intend to leave a gift in your will to Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust. A pledge to leave a gift is not legally binding and does not commit you to leaving a legacy to the Dockyard. Simply by knowing your intentions at this time, can help us to plan for future work and projects.
If you have already left a gift to Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust in your will, or are considering doing so, please do get in touch to let us know. If you wish to direct your gift to a specific purpose, please contact us to discuss this to ensure we can fulfil your intentions.
Other ways to show your support
