We make every effort to keep all areas of The Historic Dockyard Chatham open at all times. On a small number of days, certain areas need to be closed to visitors or access limited. Please check this page prior to your visit to avoid disappointment on the day.
seasonal OPENINGS and closures
- We are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays from 12 February to 24 March 2026 (excluding February Half Term).
- We are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays from 7 September to 15 November 2026 (excluding October Half Term).
Site Notices
- There will be conservation works to the Foremast of HMS GANNET until further notice.
- The No.1 Smithery will be closed until 28 March 2026.
