We are delighted to have the V&As touring exhibition with us this year!
This exhibition will look at Pirates as characters in children’s culture and as icons in the popular imagination.
Pirates have been family favourites for over 200 years, with many stories and tales to share! Everyone knows a Pirates mannerism and what they wear, but do you know why?
Get ready young buccaneers for all things Pirates – you’re bound to learn a new Pirate trick or two to join the ranks!
Come and explore where the real drama happens as a costumed midwife takes you on a walking tour of our historic site. With a picture book to help trigger your memories, you’ll see just how Neal Street Productions transform a 400 year old site back to the 1960s!
On your visit make sure you visit the temporary exhibition
‘Fort Amherst – Through Our Eyes’ hosted in conjunction with the Kent Association for the Blind Medway ‘Art Group, as part of Command of the Height’s, a project that links Fort Amherst defences to The River Medway funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
