Join us on Saturday 12 March for a British Sign Language (BSL) tour of The Historic Dockyard Chatham. Discover over 400 years of world class maritime history, through fascinating buildings, magnificent ships, and extraordinary people.
A specially tailored event led by Martin Glover, qualified architect, deaf BSL user and BSL tour-guide.
This tour will focus on the Ropery and the RNLI Historic Lifeboat Collection.
As part of a pilot scheme for access tours at the Historic Dockyard and thanks to generous support from Arts Council England we are able to offer these tours for free.
In return for your free tour, we will be seeking feedback to help us shape a regular programme of access tours throughout 2022.
Martin will meet you at the Visitor Entrance for the start of your tour. The tour will start at 10.30am and will last approximately 2 hours. There will be a 30 minute break in the middle of the tour.
The restaurant is open from 10am and you are welcome to arrive early and purchase tea or coffee.
There is free parking on site and the galleries are fully accessible.
