First annual Kent Medway Museum Conference

The first annual conference for Kent and Medway museums, organised by the Kent Medway NPO museum partnership and the South East Museum Development Programme, will take place on Monday 24 February 2020, 10:30 – 16:30 at The Fitted Rigging House.

This one-day conference is for staff and volunteers working in museums in Kent and Medway who would like to find out more about how to engage and develop wider audiences.

Speakers will cover topics such as how to:

  • Measure and demonstrate impact
  • Improve the visitor experience on a budget
  • Be more inclusive and accessible
  • Use collections in new digital ways
  • Support community health and wellbeing
  • Work with schools and young people

There will also be the opportunity to hear local case studies, network with other museums and find more out about what’s going on in the wider Kent community.

Admission by ticket only. Save the date and register for your place here.

Admission details: The conference is free with lunch included, please let us know if you have any dietary requirements by 14th February.  We are also gaging interest in a free minibus picking up attendees from a location in South Kent and East Kent. If this is something that you would like to make use of please let us know by emailing Ally Curson at acurson@chdt.org.uk as soon as you book your ticket.
