Ghost Walks

28 Oct 2020 - 31 Oct 2020

Ghost Walks

As the days shorten and the daylight hours dwindle, thoughts turn to those visitors in the ‘old yard’ that wander unseen.

A new season of Ghost Walks return this October with a mixture of new stories discovered during lockdown and some old favourites.

On this walking tour your guide will take you on an evening stroll around the old Ropery which dates to the time of King James I. Staff working in this area consider it to be one of the most haunted areas of the Historic Dockyard. The walk will end by going into one of these haunted buildings.

Our Ghost Walks will take place on:

  • Wednesday 28 October, 7pm – SPACES AVAILABLE
  • Wednesday 28 October, 7.30pm – FULLY BOOKED
  • Thursday 29 October, 7pm – FULLY BOOKED
  • Thursday 29 October, 7.30 – FULLY BOOKED
  • Friday 30 October, 7pm – FULLY BOOKED
  • Friday 30 October, 7.30pm – FULLY BOOKED
  • Saturday 31 October, 7pm – FULLY BOOKED
  • Saturday 31 October, 7.30pm – FULLY BOOKED

The walks will start at either 7pm or 7.30pm and last for approximately 90 minutes.

Walks cost £16.50 per person (no concessions).

Please note this is a separately ticketed event and is not included in an annual ticket to The Dockyard. Participants must be aged 18 years or over.

For your safety, and in line with the latest COVID-19 government guidelines,  the following measures will be in place for your walking tour:

  • Current COVID-19 guidelines allow guided tours to operate with a maximum of 30 visitors. However, we have chosen to reduce our tour capacity to 15, for your safety and in-line with our risk assessment.
  • For COVID-19 safety, our Security team will check your temperature on arrival. Each person attending needs to be scanned.
  • We are unable to accept bookings from groups/families/bubbles of more than 6 individuals.
  • Our guides will wear face visors.
  • We ask that visitors wear face coverings whilst inside our buildings.
  • We have fully risk assessed our tours to ensure COVID-19 safety.

Joining instructions for the walk will be sent via email in advance of the event.

All tours must be booked in advance and are not included in an annual ticket. If you have any questions before making your booking, please email us info@chdt.org.uk
