Getting here
Medway Gaming Festival takes place at The Historic Dockyard Chatham.
The Historic Dockyard Chatham is accessible by a wide variety of routes whether you are arriving by car, boat or public transport. Please come through our main visitor entrance – via Western Avenue.
Please note the entrance at Main Gate – off Dock Road, is for tenants and residents only.
Arriving by car
If you are using a satellite navigation system insert the postcode ME4 4TY.
Follow the Brown tourist signs (anchor) from Junctions 1, 3 and 4 of the M2 and Junction 6 of the M20.
We have plenty of car parking spaces with no height restrictions. Motorhomes are welcome but please note that these cannot be parked overnight.
There are dedicated parking bays for Blue Badge Holders. Simply follow the signs for visitor parking upon arrival.
Once the main visitor car park is full you will be directed to nearby overflow parking.
The Historic Dockyard Chatham is a controlled parking zone. Our Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) camera reads your number plate on arrival.
Parking is free of charge for MGF visitors.

There’s a huge amount to do at MGF – watch, play and learn about games; meet special guests; join competitions; experience new and retro gaming; as well as enjoying fun, interactive exhibits such as the Robot Battle Arena, UKPW Wrestling and Cosplay masquerade.

You do not need to print your tickets but we will need to see your booking confirmation on your phone, clearly showing your booking reference number.
The permanent Mess Deck Restaurant and Wagon Stop Canteen will be open throughout the festival, along with a number of temporary catering outlets. There will be two bars serving cold drinks.
Yes there will be a range of traders at the festival.

Yes there is ample parking with dedicated parking bays for Blue Badge Holders. Simply follow the signs for visitor parking upon arrival.
Entry to MGF is via the main Visitor Entrance for the Historic Dockyard.
The closest station is Chatham. The Historic Dockyard is within walking distance (20-30mins) of the station which is regularly served by Southeastern services.
MGF welcomes everyone. Every effort has been made to ensure maximum accessibility for the festival. The Historic Dockyard is, however, an 80 acre (32 hectare) site with over 100 historic buildings and structures and 3 historic warships. This alone provides some limitations and challenges to access but we are happy to discuss these with you to ensure you get the best from your day.

Yes, there will be a quiet room located near the main Rapture Gaming Hall. Whether you’re feeling anxious, overstimulated, or just need a moment by yourself, this is a dedicated spot for you to reset whilst still being close enough to the main action so that you can re-enter as soon as you’re ready.
Yes, assistance dogs are welcome.
Complimentary Carer Passes are available for anyone who needs special assistance. Any ticket holder can request an additional ticket for their registered carer to attend free of charge. Carers will need to show a form of ID upon arrival. These tickets are processed on walk up (on the day) only.
