FITTED RIGGING HOUSE

The Fitted Rigging House, a Grade I listed Scheduled Ancient Monument, has undergone significant transformation following a £2.2 million grant from the government’s Levelling Up Fund. This project revitalised approximately 1,900 sqm of derelict space into commercial floorspace. The renovation reinforces the Historic Dockyard’s position as a hub for creative industries and supports its charitable purpose of preservation and learning.

Admiral’s Offices

Situated at the heart of the Dockyard, the Admiral’s Offices now accommodate a diverse range of companies, including solicitors, ship operators, management consultants, and architects. This vibrant mix of businesses fosters a dynamic professional environment, showcasing the Dockyard’s ability to attract various sectors and promoting a collaborative community among tenants.

The Guard House

Once a historical building, The Guard House has been transformed by two award-winning artists into a functional art studio dedicated to sculptures and kiln art. This creative space not only preserves the building’s heritage but also encourages artistic pursuits, reflecting the Dockyard’s commitment to nurturing the arts within its premises.

The JOINERS SHOP

The Joiners Shop serves as a flexible coworking space tailored for start-ups in the creative sector. It has become a vital hub for various enterprises, promoting collaboration and innovation. Originally constructed for naval purposes, buildings have been restored, adapted, refurbished and given a new lease of life – brought back into use as offices, studios, workshops and for light industrial uses.

Business accommodation within the Dockyard is varied and ranges from a single office of approximately 100sq.ft, larger offices and office suites, storage units and workshops/light industrial space from a small studio area up to 25,000sq.ft plus.
