working on a historic estate
Premises available to rent range from single offices suitable for one or two people to larger office suites and large industrial spaces and storage buildings, and as such appeals to a wide range of companies.
At the centre of the Dockyard are the Admiral’s Offices which are now home to a range of companies including Solicitors, Ship operators, Management Consultants and Architects.
The Guard House is home to two award winning artists who have converted the historical building into an art studio for their sculptures and kiln art, whilst the ground floor of the Sail and Colour Loft provides open plan offices for two Design Companies. Workshop and light industrial occupiers include Wood Carvers, Fountain Designers, Furniture Restorers, Lighting Hire companies and Sign writers
We also take great pride in having The Joiners Shop located on our premises. It serves as a hub for several start-up companies and provides a flexible workspace in a serviced environment, specifically tailored for the creative sector. Over the years, The Historic Dockyard has become renowned for nurturing and supporting the creative industries. Many of these enterprises have flourished and expanded, transitioning into larger premises within our site.
It is a testament to the attraction of The Historic Dockyard that a number of companies and individuals have remained with us for several years, with some being resident on site for over 20 years. Over the years, the occupation levels of our properties have always been near to 100% and the turnover of tenants has been very small.
Originally constructed for naval purposes, buildings have been restored, adapted, refurbished and given a new lease of life – brought back into use as offices, studios, workshops and for light industrial uses.
Business accommodation within the Dockyard is varied and ranges from a single office of approximately 100sq.ft, larger offices and office suites, storage units and workshops/light industrial space from a small studio area up to 25,000sq.ft plus.
It is a testament to the attraction of The Historic Dockyard that a number of companies and individuals have remained and grown with us for several years, with some being resident on site for over 20 years.
