Call the Midwife Official Location Tour
01 Mar - 31 Oct 2026

If youโre a fan of the hit series and youโve been wondering where Call the Midwife is filmed, put yourself in the picture and explore where the real drama happens with a Call the Midwife Official Location Tour.
Created in partnership with award-winning television production company, Neal Street Productions, our Call The Midwife Official Location Tour is the only one of its kind in the world. Whilst the show is set in the East End of London, many of the outside scenes from the BBC series are actually filmed at The Historic Dockyard Chatham in Kent.
Walk in the footsteps of Nurse Trixie Franklin, Sister Julienne and Dr Turner and explore where the real drama happens. You will be guided through the Historic Dockyard by your very own costumed Midwife, armed with a photograph book and tales of their โsistersโ, before being allowed to explore the sets, costumes and props in the all-new, exclusive gallery.
Youโll see just how Neal Street Productions transform 400 year old Chatham dockyard into East London. Along the tour youโll recognise the cobbled streets and buildings of โPoplarโ plus iconic locations such as the Grosvenor Hotel and โChummyโs Hillโ, where Nurse Noakes famously learnt to ride her bike.
The Call the Midwife Official Location Tour runs from March to October.

NEW FOR 2026
For 2026, Nancyโs wedding outfit and her bridesmaidโs dress will feature in the exhibition for the first time. Nancyโs vibrant orange ‘modern retro’ ensemble from the Series 14 finale, designed by Costume Designer Justine Luxton, captures 1970s fashion and her independent spirit, complete with matching coat and hat. Colette Corriganโs bridesmaid dress echoes her motherโs look with autumnal tones and a period-authentic silhouette, highlighting the episodeโs poignant mother-daughter moment.
